Previous to getting into the PDR industry, I was a manager of a large Auto Appearance shop, managing 15+ employees in Naperville Illinois, and I also was trained on small paint and touch-up repairs during my time there. We eventually hired someone to do “Paintless Dent Repairs” for us, and I quickly realized this was a trade I found absolutely fascinating, and I wanted to learn. The technician we hired, ended up training me in May of 1995, and I have never looked back. The company I Had worked for, for approximately 4 years, ended up closing down for reasons beyond my control, and in January of 1997, I was hired by Dent Wizard Intl’, and sent to St. Louis Missouri to Dent Wizard’s training facility for 2 months, and graduated 1st in my class out of 33. Later that fall, I was sent back down to St. Louis to become a certified “Master Technician”, and passed. My career with Dent Wizard involved: Dealers, Retail, Rentals, and Hail damage repairs, the majority of my time with D.W. (5 years) was spent as the Lead auction technician at the Arena Auto Auction, in Bolingbrook Illinois. Dent Wizard and I parted ways in the fall of 2003, and I then began my independent P.D.R. career.
